Veterinary Surgeon and Partner
Alasdair was one of the founding partners of Broadleys Veterinary Hospital in 1995. He is particularly passionate about maintaining the best quality of life for animals living with pain through the facilities that the rehabilitation centre offers. Alasdair also has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and is both experienced and accomplished in this field. As well as being a very dedicated vet, Alasdair is also a dedicated triathlete and has completed a number of Ironman distance events. He can frequently be found cycling on one of his many bikes.
Veterinary Surgeon and Partner
Helen joined Broadleys in 2007 and became a partner in 2014. She brought with her a great enthusiasm to provide an exceptionally high standard of veterinary care to our patients. She is particularly interested in treating patients with complex medical conditions and achieved a post graduate qualification in medicine from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Raised in Perthshire on a deer, sheep, cattle and wildlife park, Helen has grown up with animals at the centre of her life. She currently lives on a small farm with a menagerie of animals, from sheep and goats to a rescued parrot called Ada.
Practice Manager
Hannah is dedicated to a high level of staff, patient and client care. She firmly believes in Broadleys values of providing the highest level of veterinary care to our patients and support to their owners. She works behind the scenes to ensure all systems are working efficiently and her exceptional interpersonal skills allow her to effectively lead and support the staff. At home Hannah enjoys reading, supporting women’s football and spending time with her Chihuahua Reuben.
Senior Veterinary Surgeon
Catherine has been a part of Broadleys since it opened in 1995, and continues to provide continuity for many families and their pets. Catherine is very experienced in all aspects of small animal general practice. When not at work she enjoys traveling abroad to new and exciting places where she loves to spend time exploring on foot. When closer to home she explores Scotland and the North of England in her camper van with her dogs Cally, Bess and Fern.
Senior Veterinary Surgeon
Angela is a very experienced small animal vet, who enjoys all aspects of small animal practice. She has a keen interest in teaching the next generation of vets and has gained a masters degree in Education. She is now running the new graduate vet internship programme at Broadleys. Angela also has a particular interest in pain management and has completed a veterinary acupuncture course. In her spare time she is a qualified yoga teacher, and spends time with her dogs Finlay and Margot and cats Zal and Tilly.
Veterinary Surgeon
Laurie enjoys the daily variety of general practice. She finds it particularly rewarding to form connections with patients and their owners, from first consultations through diagnostic tests to treatments and recovery. She also especially enjoys dentistry where extractions can lead to immediate relief of pain. When away from work she is kept busy with her young family and handsome rescued cat Jack.

Emma has a particular interest in diagnosing and treating patients with complex medical conditions. She has advanced her knowledge in this area by completing two further qualification. A post graduate certificate in Small Animal Medicine and the improve international GP Certificate in medicine. At home Emma enjoys participating in local theatre shows and spending time with her family.
Veterinary Surgeon
Nicola has a keen interest in treating emergency and critical care patients, and also patients with complex medical needs. She is passionate about providing patients with appropriate pain medication protocols whether at home of in the hospital. Away from work Nicola enjoys Climbing, walking in the Cairngorms and spending time with her large family of animals.
V999 lead Veterinary Surgeon
Katie leads the team of weekend emergency vets who are dedicated to providing around the clock care for our patients at the weekends here at the Hospital in Stirling. She has a special interest in Surgery and Radiology and has completed post graduate qualifications in these areas. When not at work she enjoys traveling, exploring the Scottish hills, riding and live music events.

Rachel enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, with a particular interest in looking after medical patients in hospital. In her time away from work she enjoys exercising at the gym and exploring new places at home and abroad.

Megan has a particular interest in looking after patients requiring surgical care, she also has a great depth of experience working with emergency and critical care patients. Megan is dedicated to advancing her surgical knowledge and is studying for her BSAVA surgical certificate. When not at work she enjoys exploring the Scottish hills with her dog Luna, a Labrador cross, cooking and swimming.
Veterinary Surgeon
Meg is often found in our imaging suite— using the tools of ultrasound, CT and radiographs to gain insight into complex cases. Her passion lies in how diagnostic imaging contributes to patient care, especially when combined with the collective knowledge and teamwork of the entire Broadley’s team.This interest has led her to pursue a postgraduate certificate in imaging and complete an internship at a referral hospital to deepen her understanding. Outside of work she has enjoys snuggliing to read with her cats, or hitting the trails mountain biking with her dogs and partner.
Broadleys exceptional team of 22 registered veterinary nurses, are all highly skilled and dedicated to looking after our patients to the highest standards. Our veterinary nursing team perform many vital roles within the hospital in collaboration with our vets and animal care assistants.
Our team of animal care assistant are essential to supporting our nurses and vets look after your pets while they are in the hospital. They are also integral to ensuring the clinic is clean and that surgical instruments are cleaned and sterilised before use.
Our client services team are dedicated to ensuring a smooth, supportive experience for both you and your pet, from scheduling appointments to answering any questions you may have. They have also been known to hand out the odd gravy bone to our lovely canine patients.
