Operation in progress under Broadleys normal surgical protocols

The surgical protocols at Broadleys Veterinary Hospital are second to none in the country.
We have a dedicated, sterile operating theatre split into two separate rooms.
The air supply is filtered and pressurised to
maintain sterility.
Surgeons and nurses dress appropriately for sterile procedures - scrub suits; caps; masks; shoe covers; sterile gowns and sterile gloves.
Proper preparation of surgical sites is routine.
"Dirty" procedures are excluded from theatre.
Surgical sites are protected from contamination by sterile drapes.
All instruments are properly cleaned and sterilised after every use.
You might be shocked at just how uncommon some of these protocols are in an average UK veterinary practice.
