Veterinary hospital regulations require us to have a vet or a trained nurse monitoring every anaesthetised patient. This is in addition to the surgeon carrying out the procedure.
At Broadleys Veterinary Hospital we are sufficiently well staffed to ensure that the anaesthetist remains in attendance throughout your pet's operation.
This is not standard practice in many veterinary
clinics where inadequate staffing levels mean
that a nurse may have to leave an animal under anaesthetic in order to answer the phone.
Patients under anaesthetic
are constantly monitored before, during and after their operations.
